The Gardens in the Morning Sun

We have a close-up at the Shade House, a wooden framework with a shade cloth roof. To the right of it is just the corner of the equipment shed. In the left foreground are rows of our plants lined out to be sold. The tree with the white bark is a 20-year-old Colorado Quaking Aspen, nearing the end of its normal life. From its extensive root system, new aspen trunks will grow, ensuring that we have a supply of future shade for garden visiters as well as for the gardeners!

Large Aerial view #1 of Garden
The beds are mostly about 100 ft long by 20 to 30 ft. wide, holding up to 40 rows of plants -- all daylilies! The plants under the shade cloth are recently purchase cultivars from other hybridizers or are some of our own seedlings selected for naming, propagation and subsequent introduction.
