The Amaryllis Family: Hippeastrum mandonii

Hippeastrum mandonii Hippeastrum mandonii is native to Bolivia. Plants were collected by Fred Meyers many years ago in that country. This plant is nearly evergreen, with a rest period in summer and bloom in autumn or winter. Keep moist. Large bulbs, 3 to 4 inches in diameter, should be planted in large pots, 10 to 12 inches in diameter.
