The Amaryllis Family: Hippeastrum leopoldii


Hippeastrum leopoldii is native to Bolivia, in South America. The plant is dormant in winter but probably need some warmth and moisture all year long. The flower naturally reaches a diameter of about 7 inches. The plant shown here was from a group called neoleopoldii by Traub.
