Hippeastrum neopardinum hybrid


Flowers blooming in the greenhouses in late winter.


Hippeastrum leopoldii hybrid This flower looks very much like Hippeastrum (neo)leopoldii. The consensus was that this is probably (neopardinum X papilo) since that cross was in circulation about the time this bulb was received.
Hippeastrum leopoldii hybrid in profile In profile, you can see the slightly declined attitude of the flowers, very like H. neoleopoldii.
Another flower, a little different form This image shows why I think this hybrid may have a little Hippeastrum papilio in its background, too. This is the second floret on the scape shown above.
